Bill Gates is whining to Newsweek about Apple’s latest advertising campaign which he says depicts Microsoft users as "dullards" and "klutzs". Are there any half-way creative marketing or advertising folks at Microsoft? If there was ever an opportunity to directly take on a competitor who is running down your brand it’s this. Apple is vulnerable to the same approach. Think about all the goofy Mac stereotypes subject to a little teasing. Think about Dennis Leary ripping for 30 seconds on the Mac faithful. Go ahead Bill, smack ’em back – or quit your whining.
